How long is the Travel Leaders Academy Classroom Training Program?

Our condensed 220 hour classroom training program can take place either during the day or evenings and weekends. The full-time day program is 7 ½ weeks long. Since Travel Leaders Academies are located throughout the country, each Academy location’s hours will vary. See your local school for details.

How much does the Travel Leaders Academy Classroom Training Program cost?

The entire Travel Leaders Academy Classroom Training Program will average around $3000, including a student workbook. Travel Leaders Academy training may take place during the day or evenings and weekends. Since Travel Leaders Academies are located throughout the country, each Academy location’s hours will vary. What about Refunds?

Refunds due to termination or withdrawal from the course will be made according to the Refund Policy. Travel Leaders Academy reserves the right to cancel a class session prior to the scheduled starting date if less than four students are enrolled. All money paid will be refunded in full or may be applied to a future class.

What is the admission process?

The admission requirements for Travel Leaders Academy include a high school diploma or GED, a personal interview and effective communication skills in the English language.

To be considered for admission, you must complete an Information Form and submit it to the Academy. A representative from the school will contact you to arrange a personal interview to determine your qualifications. This interview also provides you with the opportunity to learn more about the Academy.

Because enrollment is limited, it’s advised that you request your personal interview as far in advance as possible. You may, however, enroll though the first day of class, on a space available basis. If you are accepted into the program, you will receive a copy of the Enrollment Agreement. You will need to sign the Enrollment Agreement and submit it with your enrollment fee. You will then be ready to begin your training as an official student in Travel Leaders Academy.

Do you help with placement?

Assisting graduates with career placement within the travel industry is a priority at Travel Leaders Academy. Travel Leaders Academy provides assistance with resumes, interviewing skills and job search techniques. Because of our association with a major travel company consisting of over 1200 offices, we can offer placement assistance nation-wide. We also maintain contact with many other travel employers regarding placement. Although employment cannot be guaranteed, placement assistance will be given to any graduate who has satisfied all academic and financial obligations with the school.

Does everyone get career placement assistance?

Career placement assistance will be provided to a graduate who has earned and maintained a C average or higher during the required course of study, successfully completed all class projects, and met mandatory attendance and other requirements. Remember, your Academy is connected to hundreds of other travel agencies in the Travel Leaders network and has connections to other agency networks through industry affiliations to help you find a job. However, please keep in mind that no absolute guarantee of job placement can be made.
